Information from Vietnam General Statistic Office has revealed that there have been more than 6.03 million foreigners visiting Vietnam in 11 months of the year 2012.

The number of foreigners coming for recreation increases by 9.4%, to 3.6 million; while people traveling for business purpose contributes 1.05 million (up 17.1%); and the third largest number belongs to visiting relatives group with more than 1.04 million (up 15.5%); and the rest are other purposes with 328,000 visitors (up 3.5%).

Of which, the most preferable traveling method by foreigners is airplane, which accounts for more than 5.05 million (up 11.5%), the runner-up is by sea with more than 73,440 (up 94.2%) and by road reaches more than 903,000 (up 6.9%).

Amongst popular markets of Vietnam tourism, China is still the dominance with more than 1 .28 million (up 0.8%). Standing in the second place are the Public of Korean visitors with 635,930 (up 31.5%). The third and fourth largest numbers belong to Japan and the US with 524,490 (up 20.8%) and 407,340 (up 27%) respectively.
